Light Ionization Lamp for Portable VOC Detector
High-sensitivity compact lamp required for VOC detection.
In portable VOC detectors, the photoionization lamp (PID lamp) plays an important role. The PID lamp emits high-energy photons in the VUV spectrum, and these emitted high-energy photons ionize gases with low ionization energy. VOCs are detected by monitoring the amount of ions moving to the electrodes within the sample cell. This is a simple ionization method that only requires light irradiation and has high sensitivity, making it an optimal light source for portable (mobile) devices, and it is widely adopted overseas. 【Features】 ■ Compact light source: Custom-designed lamps tailored to the customer's application in terms of design and size ■ Selectable photon energy (8.4 to 11.8 eV) ■ Long lifespan ■ Low variability between lots (semi-automated production) 【Detectable gases (examples)】 ■ Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) ■ Acetaldehyde ■ Ammonia ■ Benzene (BTEX compounds: Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene) ■ Butene ■ Ethylene ■ Gasoline vapor ■ Jet fuel ■ Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)
